Kora Organics Review

Kora Organics Review
It's now been just over 10 days using Kora Organics and I feel I can now blog about it. My skin has adjusted to the new routine and as my skin is so sensitive.. any bad reactions would have happened by now!
For reference my skin type is Combination/Sensitive.

Foaming Cleanser- For Oily/Combination skin
Absolutly amazing! The smell is very earthy but not strong at all.. personally I don't like the smell but it doesn't bother me. The product is a very slippery cleanser which is easy to spread and very easy to wash off. It washes off without leaving any residue or leaving your face feeling too tight.
This product doesn't actually foam as it doesn't contain any of those chemicals that normally make foam.. it just lathers slightly. It can't remove a full night time smokey eye but it only needs a bit of assistance to get it all off (I use the DrBronners soap.) My skin feels so good after using it.

Soothing Day & Night Cream- For Normal/Sensitive skin
Its a very thin, light cream that has a light earthy, herbal smell that disappears when you apply it. It absorbs straight in and is great under make-up. Doesn't cause any product streaking at all.
I was anxious that it couldn't fully moisturise as it is so light.. but it really does do the job well. I started using this when my skin was a bit raw from travelling and I feel it did play a part in soothing it. I spent a good 5-6 days with absolutely no make-up on.. just moisturiser and it did me some good. I feel it makes a great pollution barrier as it contains Vitamin E, Olive Oil, Noni Oil (to name a few) and it didn't at all make me look shiny.

The Mists
Balancing Rose Mist- All Skin Types
One of the best smelling rosewater spritzes I have ever come across. It has the traditional smell but just a bit lighter and more complex. Love to apply this before moisturizer before bed or just to refresh my make-up and face throughout the day.
Energising Citrus Mist- All Skin Types
I have been using this in mornings and can't decide which spritz I love more. The scent of this is much fainter and not at all lemony as you would think. Very refreshing and doesn't at all leave a residue like some toners do. Causes no interference with moisturiser & make-up application.

Exfoliating Cream- For Face & Body
I'm using it on my face 2-3x a week. It is a very nice gentle exfoliate which really does seem to soothe as my skin goes ever so slightly pink as opposed to bright red on the areas I've scrubbed. Very nice texture with no drastically uneven bits.. and a nice creamy base. Washes off well without bits or residue being left behind!

General Observations
My skin is very soft and hydrated yet not at all clammy to the touch after I've used these products. I do feel that there is a noticeable difference in its appearance. These aren't products that just do the job of moisturizing and cleaning.. I feel my skin is noticeably clearer and fresher looking.
I feel the pricing of the brand is very reasonable considering the quality of the ingredients. Its not cheap, no.. but its hardly as expensive as high-end make-up brand's skin care offerings. I'd put it in a similar category to Kiehl's price wise.
The key ingredients of this line are Noni, Rosehip Oil, Macrobiotic Salts, Rose Quartz infused water, Vitamin E... click here to go to the official side to read more about what each one does for your skin.

Packaging
My only problems (problems is too strong a word really) are the packaging. The exfoliator and moisturiser are fine but the rest aren't travel bag friendly. The pump of the cleanser does get a bit covered in product so its not ideal to try close it.
Also each pump with the cleanser is far too generous. You need half the amount to wash your face & neck. Similarly a smaller hole with the moisturizer would be great as I feel too much comes out! Travel size and maxi size options would also be great.

I very much like this brand. I feel that my skin responds to it far better than any other range I have previously tried (including Neals Yard) and I am definitely sticking with it (and the Dr Bronners soap stays too!) I have already placed another order to try the body moisturiser, oil & I got Miranda's book. I also purchased a back up of my most used products as I am so happy with them! I really feel a line this good should be getting much more attention.
You can buy the line from the official website here. Shipping is pretty fast worldwide!

Will you be trying Kora organics? What is your current skincare brand of choice?

  2. I am visiting the Kora web-side for a good while now and I'm getting more and more eager to finally try this beautiful brand. Miranda even replied to me in person saying that there are gonna be sample sizes available after Christmas. I wonder if I can wait that long ;-) I already pre-ordered her book, too, I'm so curious!! Great post, hon, I was waiting for this one to come up, actually :) Hugs, Sam xxx

  11. I love the look of this brand, and had never heard of them until your post - I'll take a look I think.
At the moment I am trying to use up a Katrin Herzog Oxygen Cream that I was recommended, which is meant to do wonders for the skin - really disappointed with it, it was really expensive, hard to use (as you're not meant to rub it in!) and has bleached my eyebrows lighter!!
If anyone knows what I am doing wrong and know about this cream advice would be appreciated!

  13. Wow, never heard of this brand. I use clarins and l'occitane but am always on the lookout for something that is better for my skin as it changes between horribly dry and combination all the time.
I'm not someone who would normally buy online as I like to look at things in shops and try them....which is quite hard as there's some things you just don't have in Austria :-)
But maybe I'll have a go ...thanks for the post
