Inglot Haul & Review 2

As you probably expected, I went back for more! This haul was a little more restrained and this time.. all the products were for me!
I am so happy with my little palette.. I tried to pick colors out of my comfort zone (which is black, glittery black & golden nudes) and I am actually using these quite often! The pink color is great for a fresh, more feminine day time eye and the other two are great for day and evening time to add a bit of color to your smokey eye! Same amazing formula and pigmentation as previously mentioned and reviewed here. I do like the fact that Inglot gives you a 3 palette option.

Inglot Lipstick 224
The Inglot lipstick formula is very comfortable on lips. The product goes on smoothly and doesn't feel heavy. Its not an extremely long lasting formula but its not bad. I would say its comparable to the better MAC lipsticks. There is not particular flavour but it smells faintly fruity.
I find this color slightly too milky on my skin coloring.. but with a gloss on top I think I can get a lot of wear from this shade.

Inglot Lipstick 106
Is this not the perfect spring/summer color? Its slightly stronger than the picture shoes (I think the flash washed it out a bit) and is very flattering on my medium skin color. The danger with orange/salmon colors is that they can wash out pale skin colors and clash with warm skin tones. This color is very wearable. Smooth to apply, with a slightly glossy finish this color is going to get a lot of use!
I do really like the lipsticks but I wouldn't say I prefer them to MAC's or any other brand. I do find that these hold their own. I will definitely be purchasing more as I use up my existing collection as I have seen some GORGEOUS nudes!

Inglot Sleeks
These slim, test tube packaged lipglosses are a fabulous slim addition to any make-up bag. A thin layer of this non-sticky gloss is all you need to cover your lips with the glistening formula. It stays put for quite a while.. you do have to reapply but these skinny tubed glosses have a great doe foot applicator, so its not too much hard work!
There are a lot of shades to chose from and the pigmentation varies with each color. I was instantly attracted to these two. 32 is the perfect top coat for a nude or peach lipstick and 63 can be worn alone or as a top coat to give you warm, sparkly but grown-up lips. No particular flavour but it does smell a bit fruity.. like a faint artificial guava smell. Nothing unbearable or noticeable after 5 minutes.

The shade I am wearing right now is the no63 shade. Since I got it on Monday evening I've worn it every day. I may have to buy a back up! Its a sparkly pink color and it gives lips a slightly frosty sparkle. Totally gorgeous without being too over the top and glittery.
I'm not the biggest fan of the Inglot packaging (boring!!) but these are the best looking items in the shop! What I like about these glosses is you don't need too much to give you color and shine so these are perfect layering glosses. I am a big fan of Dior glosses and I find that the two brands work well together.
I do feel that out of all the Inglot lip products these are my personal favourite.. just ever so slightly beating the Holographic glosses to top spot! I am a lipglossaholic and they hit my spot!

This time I got a chance to really play with the products on display. The following chart reflects my personal opinion on the Inglot products available.
Must Haves
Inglot Sleeks lipglosses, M3 eyeshadow trios, holographic lipgloss & custom eyeshadow palettes
I feel that for my needs, these are the products that will get the most use from me. Very high quality at an amazingly low price. I enjoy using them and find the eyeshadow choices to practical and travel friendly. I also find them to be the best products in terms of visual appeal.
Very Good
Glitter eyeliners & lipsticks
Great quality and value for money. The glittery liquid liners are amazing.. I have never seen so many options! There are around 6 sheer glitter choices alone.. with different color reflecting glitter. However I dislike the metallic ones.. could be a bit more pigmented. However very boring, slightly cheap looking packaging!
Nice
Lip pots, nail varnishes, liquid blushes & lip balms
Love the sheer glitter varnishes but the other colors are a bit boring & predictable. I find the lip pot glosses & liquid blushes to be nice but really boring, limited color choices.
Pass
Bronzers, face powders, blushes & make-up remover
The blushers and bronzers are too chalky for me and I found them hard to blend evenly. I found the face powders (especially the shimmery ones) to be a tad greasy feeling. The make-up remover was so greasy feeling! Not for me!

Trying Inglot On A Budget
If I was on a budget but wanted a treat and to try the brand.. I would try follow a few rules.
1. Try something that you can't find somewhere else- There is no point getting another clear lipgloss or nude lipstick.. its not worth the investment. You want to look for something pigmented, good quality with unique colors or packaging.
2. Chose things you will feel happy about seeing in your make-up collection- Go for something visually attractive like a Sleeks lipgloss or an eyeshadow M3 trio. You will enjoy your new purchase for longer if it stands out!
3. Don't only buy for one area of the face- Don't buy two lip products.. why let the lips have all the fun? Get a lipgloss and eyeshadow instead so more of your face can try the brand!

What do you want to try from Inglot? Has anything caught your eye?

  5. As soon as I see on my dashboard that you've blogged I have to click on it. Love reading your posts and this one is another fab one. The last part of this post was cool too hunni. You're right about not buying just another nude lipstick. I'm guilty of that. I may try a different colour to my usual shades when I next go to Inglot. They have so much to choose from so I should think I'll find something lovely.
    Thanks for this post darling.

  21. they have a store near my work (times sq) so I might have to trip over there on my lunch hr to take a look. You've certainly tempted me! I've heard that their primer is similar to smashbox. I agree that their glosses are teh best packaged out of everything.
